CAREER CERTIFICATIONS – EXAM RETAKE POLICY
Cisco Career Certification Exam Policy has been
updated on 12 May 2005. The following changes are effective immediately
RETAKING EXAMS:
· Candidates may only
take a beta exam once.
· Candidates who fail an exam must wait a period of five (5) calendar days from
the end of their first attempt before rescheduling the same exam.
· Once passed, exams may not be retaken, with the exception of the CCIE exam.
· Candidates who pass a CCIE written exam must wait a minimum of six (6) months
to retake passed exams. This policy applies to CCIE certification exams with
identical exam numbers.

delivery provider (EDP) Web site, and if you fail, you can call the Pearson VUE
or Thomson Prometric call centers to schedule your retake exam. Tell the call
center agent you are taking part in the Second Shot promotion. Please wait one
day after the failed exam to allow your test results to be entered into the
system. All retake timeframes are subject to compliance with Microsoft
Certification Exam Retake rules).
The Second Shot offer can be combined with offers not

and MCSA eReference Library (www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/offers/mcsa)

Simulations
Technology Exams Launch March 31
Microsoft will introduce
simulations technology in its MCP exams on March 31, 2005 beginning
with Exam 70-290: Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003
Environment and Exam 70-291: Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure. With this new technology,
individuals can demonstrate their capability of solving real-world problems by
performing tasks in simulated environments.
New Version of the CompTIA Server+ Certification Exam
The new version of the CompTIA Server+ certification examination was launched
on February 14. CompTIA has also released the CompTIA Server+™ Supplemental
Exam Guide covering the new objectives for the CompTIA Server+ 2005 exam. The
CompTIA Server+ exam was updated to incorporate the latest technologies in
server architectures, hardware and peripherals and map as closely as possible
to current job tasks. Details of exam domains and new objectives can be found

2-FOR-1 1 MCP EXAM OFFER
Register by May 31,
2005, and two people can take exam 70-270 for the price of one.

This
offer is for exam 70-270 only. This exam is one of the exams necessary to
obtain the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) on Windows Server
2003 credential. This offer is available only at Prometric exam delivery
providers worldwide. Once the purchaser has registered for this offer, they
will receive an offer promotional code to use when registering for the exam
with the exam delivery provider. Registration must occur by May 31, 2005. The
exam must be taken no later than June 30, 2005. Once the purchaser has taken
the exam, they will receive a free e-voucher via e-mail to forward to the other
offer participant. The purchaser is responsible for forwarding the e-voucher to
the other participant of the offer and collecting payment. The e-voucher

ICDL Advanced module certification in the GCC region ICDL Advanced Modules
offer candidates who have completed their ICDL Core Certification the
opportunity to move to the next level of the ICDL program and continue to

that while the ICDL Core certification incorporates seven exams, all of which
